Three Game Sevens

This is the tme when the NBA playoffs reach the clutch stage. If you don’t start watching now, you never will. Every one is trying his hand at basketball now. Even Bush.

Yay Sports catches the general atmosphere when they write:
Cleveland fans are doing the typical over-reaction, screaming that the entire team needs to be torn apart, and whining Shot/Fumble/Drive. This wasn’t one of those games, c’mon…
Game 7 should be a war, and it somehow seems fitting that if the Cavs are going to do this, they do it in that fashion. That’s about it - it was a tough loss, but it is what it is. Both teams worked hard, both made some key plays, and both made some mistakes. That’s what the playoffs are.
Will LeBron screw up? Will San Antonio screw up? Will Detroit screw up? What will happen in Suns versus Clippers? I am really excited about the Clippers but Suns are always attractive to watch as well. Clippers are no laughing stock any more.
Who will reach the conference finals? It should be exciting drama before Heat, Shaq and Wayde and the rest sweep over whoever comes in their way ;)
Series break downs: DET-CLE, SA-DAL, PHO-LAC.

Most people forget that the Miami Heat lanced through the second round and are waiting for the Pistons, who are dead tired.
Three Game Sevens. Astouding. And great to watch. (Detroit-Cleveland a low scoring, ugly game, however.)

Suss, the Heat will be tough to beat. They have a good combination of youth and experienced players and I am strongly backing them.
Det-Cle: LeBron was always going to be targeted all the more in this game and that would be the key for the Detroit win - so it had a high chance of being low scoring. Too bad Pistons won.. :(

Pratyush… Agree with you on the Heat being tough to beat… though I haven’t been able to figure out the reason for the slump in pistons offense… I see it more as a Pat Riley - Flip Saunders match-up and I think Pat, with 4 rings with the Lakers in the 80s would out-think Flip… expect the series to produce some good games though…
Coming west, I think Dallas missed a huge opportunity to close out the spurs at home - its going to be mighty tough for them now at the At & T center… Tim & Dirk would ofcourse carry their teams and offset each other - boils down to who wins the support cast battle - Manu-Tony versus Josh-Terry-Stackhouse… mouthwatering to say the least!
I like the Suns in the other game but to be honest, Clips are better than I had thought they were - and might well pull out a surprise… promises to be yet another humdinger of a contest… can’t wait for the tip-off…

SA look favourites for me as well Rohit. On the Detroit offense which you wondered about - I was thinking the same actually..

Suns versus Mavs… what a great matchup thats going to be… seems almost like a dream season this… 9 overtime games in playoffs (thats a playoff recors - and we haven’t started round 3 yet!) - ah!mazing…
as an aside, it would have been a shame had the refs been able to pull it out for Tim ‘crybaby’ Duncan n the spurs…
all in all - a great day for NBA fans all over…

It has been one of the better playoffs in quite some time, as evident by the closer stats as well! :)
