Geoff, a woeful medical setup can be a part of the problem which has resulted in a lot more players being out for England. However, players are being injured internationally more than we have seen in the past. The fast bowlers for example, feel the most effect of this as we see most teams having some fast bowler(s) injured all the time.

So, I don't think it is an England specific problem Geoff, Ravi and I disagree here.

i agree geoff. vaughan, giles and jones have all repeatedly stalled at their supposed comebacks. then admit to trying to be fit too soon. hardly the fault of some games, rather their impatience for a comeback. so the rehabilitation and medical set up has to questioned.

I don't think England are ahead of the game (so to speak), they just have a seemingly woeful medical setup. Even if the injuries that these players have could not have been mended sooner - which I doubt - they were horribly inaccurate with the estimated dates of return.

In the same way that Newcastle and Spurs used to have more injuries than other clubs, I think this is largely down to the management, rather than being indicative of a wider trend.
