I want Brazil to win as always and again, as always, I feel they have a very strong chance. The team which might win it though is Argentina. With Maradona at the helm, they play a very attacking brand of football. The defense is lacking but if you score more goals than the opponent, you win.
I really want an African team to do well as well, reach as far as the semis hopefully which would really make the tournament exciting. I am hoping against hope for a Brazil-Argentina final which has never happened before.
I don’t like the lose and you go home type of format of tournaments and prefer best of 3s or 7s like in the NBA playoffs but the format adds to the world cup. It is unpredictable and far more exciting with the format it has had even though the best team may not always win by this format.
Here’s hoping for some fantastic goals and not to forget, some fantastic saves.
