Football Commercials #8: Coca Cola
May 8th, 2006The power of football, as it is called, is one of my favourite commercials. I absolutely love it. Have to say, I have a soft spot for Coke ads.
There is the, now famous, two kids picking teams commercial. World Cup Blog brings the commercial behind the commercial. Check it out!

May 6th, 2006
Dhoomk2 pointed me out to an advertisement in which kids copied a Ronaldinho ad where he keeps kicking the ball on a football pole. This one was another funny revelation to how Ronaldinho did it I thought.
Football Commercials #6: Ah Women
May 5th, 2006Women and sport don’t match do they? Well most women and sport any way (I can see the millions of women sports lovers coming to the defense of how women love sports already).
Also, Decalink will feature twice a week instead of thrice now. In some weeks, if I do find more links, I can always do the third edition. Have a nice weekend.

May 2nd, 2006Despite 32 countries present at the World Cup, some of the best footballers miss out as their countries do not qualify.
This commercial captures the Welsh dream of winning the World Cup, beating England in hopefully a World Cup final and much more.

May 1st, 2006Football Commercials #2: Chelsea Fans Remember This
April 30th, 2006Okay Jose Mourinho is saying how he has won 4 domestic league titles in a row - titles first with Porto and now with Chelsea:
This is my second in England and my fourth consecutive title if you include Porto.
So, a nice reminder seems apt right now of events of a few days earlier for the Chelsea fans and their manager, who a year ago, said Rijkaard was not a prolific manager.
Since then, Rijkaard has won 1 league title, is soon going to win a second one and is one game away from adding the Champions League to his kitty.
We all know it was psychological talk but reminders are always nice. :)

April 29th, 2006Ahead of the FIFA World Cup, the quality football commercials are coming up faster than you can imagine. There are the impressive Joga Bonito ads of course. Watch them if you haven’t already.
Introducing the new feature seems just apt. One football commercial a day (for at least the first week) then. No, the quality wont suffer. Suggestions via mail welcome for the next edition.
Hope you liked this one!
Update: From week two, I am doing the feature as thrice a week.
